AMD is water that has been polluted by contact with mining debris, becoming enriched with acids and heavy metals. This cyanotype addresses the themes of Energy & Extraction, as this site would not exist without coal mining. The drainage from this site is rich in iron due to the high sulfide mineral content in coal.
