Uraninite (UO2)

Uraninite (UO2), also called pitchblende, is a highly radioactive mineral and a major ore of uranium. The near-surface deposits often have a yellow weathering component known as gummite. The chemical structure of Uraninite can contain several other elements apart from uranium and oxygen, such as argon and radium, all of which can be found in the gummite.
